Jessica Gee
Hey 2027! My name is Jessica and I'm running to be part of 2027 student council for the upcoming school year. As an officer for both FBLA and Tino Economics, I've gained experience that will help me do well in this role. In my free time, I enjoy playing volleyball. I've played for our JV team and play club volleyball. I also enjoy reading realistic fiction and fantasy books, traveling, and hanging out with friends.
What is the driving purpose for you to be on council?
I want to be part of council because I want to create a more inclusive and supportive environment for everyone. I will strive to represent the voices of my peers and make sure that everyone feels heard. I believe that by working together, we can foster a more enjoyable experience for everyone.
Saanvi Ghentiyala
The most crucial message that I would like to give to my peers is that no matter what position I may be given as a council member, I will be a member that will actively give, never take. My skills in leadership, creativity, and organization, will prove to be assets that will significantly benefit our class.
As teenagers, we are the pinnacle of progress and represent a glimpse into the future of our world. Because of this, I want to hear YOUR ideas! If the council represents a class, then as a candidate, I want to see what my peers want for our class in order to make the Class of 2027 an even more thriving community.
What is the driving purpose for you to be on council?
After participating in my class's Homecoming Celebration Week during the 2024-2025 school year, I was able to fully open my eyes as to the brilliant and consistent work that my peers on the 2027 council were executing during this time period. As I looked around, I found myself wanting to contribute as much as I can to my class, all while working together with my peers and classmates.
Since then, joining class council has been a steadfast and exciting commitment I have been ready to take. Working together with people I know in order to contribute to one common goal is my definition of both productivity and success!
Angela Kim
Hey 2027!! I’m Angela Kim and I’m thrilled to announce my candidacy for your Junior Student Council! If I were to describe myself, I would say I'm someone who finds joy in the little things. I love playing silly trending songs on the piano, dancing with my friends, and cracking jokes that only I seem to find funny. Writing is one of my favorite ways to express myself, whether it's crafting poems and stories or just writing down random thoughts. I am dedicated to connecting with my community, and I value hard work and putting in genuine effort into the things I am passionate about, striving for both personal growth and meaningful impact.
What is the driving purpose for you to be on council?
Serving as Rally Chair and Secretary in Student Council has allowed me to develop essential skills such as organization through managing files and creating meeting agendas, as well as teamwork and communication while collaborating with our class to design and create posters for events like rallies and Homecoming. However, the challenges I have encountered made me realize the significance of taking meaningful steps to create a real difference. I believe that through my past experiences, my goals for the upcoming year, and my genuine dedication to our class, I will be able to contribute to making next year a truly unforgettable experience.
Jarett Poon
I am a resilient, organized, and hardworking extrovert striving to make a positive impact on the atmosphere and the people around me. I am currently class social media manager and have part taken in many spirit events including two years of HOCO, Tinolympics, poster makings, etc. This year, I made a tremendous impact on the boys varsity basketball team and am competing in varsity track after winning JV track MVP my freshman year. My favorite things to eat are chipotle, sushi, fried chicken, pizza, and almost every asian food. I love food. I often spend my time doing homework, eating, biking, hanging out with friends, or laying in bed.
What is the driving purpose for you to be on council?
I want to make the next school year as enjoyable for everyone. I believe the class of 2027 has room for improvement and I aim to fill those holes. One key objective of mine is to not only improve the communication between student council and the class, but also to improve relations and productivity in the student council itself in order to improve the effectiveness and performance of the class as a whole. To do so, I need your vote.
Ashley Qi
HEY 2027!!! I’m Ashley, and I’m running to be part of your class council for the upcoming year! Over the past two years, I’ve served as both our class social media manager and treasurer. From planning FUHSD’s first intra-district IDC event to performing show-stopping HOCO rallies, we’ve been able to accomplish amazing things! I’ve truly enjoyed every moment of my time on council, and would love the opportunity to get even more involved in our junior year. In my free time, you’ll often find me binging new movies, playing with my cat, or trying out new restaurants. Check out my instagram @ashley.j.qi to learn more about my campaign!
What is the driving purpose for you to be on council?
I’ve seen firsthand how a leader can make or break a team. As we enter our junior year, it’s more important than ever that we have a council who is 100% committed to supporting our class. I know what 2027 needs from its representatives, and I wholeheartedly believe that my experience and vision for our class make me suited for this role. Though I can’t guarantee grand, drastic change—I can promise to always put forth consistent effort and 100% dedication towards YOU. Above all, I recognize that leadership is more than a flashy title—it’s a promise to make your high school experience the best it can be.
Nishaant Sinha
Hey, I am Nishaant Sinha, and I'm running to be on your class council next year. My favorite subject at school is either lit or history. In my free time I listen to music, or watch movies.
What is the driving purpose for you to be on council?
The reason I want to run for student council is because I have been really interested in the democratic process and have wanted to be a part of it for a long time. I have an immense amount of respect for the current council, and with working with them on events like hoco, I realized that I wanted to be able to help them set up these events.
Adelyn Su
Hi class of 2027! I’m Adelyn, and I’m running to represent YOUR junior class council. As many of you may know, dance is a huge passion of mine and I’ve used it as a way to contribute to our community. From choreographing our hoco dance for two years to leading 60 students in the Senior Send Off dance, I’ve gained valuable leadership experience and, more importantly, had the opportunity to connect with many of you. Here are some fun facts about me that you might not know ;)
- I’m very passionate about collecting sonny angels
- I prefer walking on my hands over walking on my feet
- You will never see me walking around without a water bottle
What is the driving purpose for you to be on council?
My driving purpose for being on council is to continue fostering a stronger relationship among the people in our class. What I love most about choreographing for hoco is the ability to work with all of YOU and bring us together through our performance. Watching the connection grow over time brings me joy, and it’s something I want to continue doing. By being on council, I aim to include more opportunities throughout the year that give us the chance to interact and bond with each other. I hope to remind everyone that junior year isn’t just defined by stress, but by the lasting memories we will create as a class.
Katherine Sun
I would like other students to know that I am organized and I enjoy helping people, through volunteer work in soup kitchens, and packing essential items for low income families. I also enjoy being part of a larger community, and creating that sense of community for others.
What is the driving purpose for you to be on council?
My driving purpose to be on council is to be an open listener and aide for my classmates and their needs while also providing a fresh perspective on issues. I want to be there for others to voice their concerns or ask questions. Connection and spirit is also important to me and I think that through being transparent and listening to feedback, as well as incorporating new ideas can uplift class spirit and encourage connections between students!

Outside of school, I do a lot of volunteering at a place called Cupertino Physical Therapy. Last year, I tore my knee during basketball season and Cupertino physical therapy helped me get back to being active again. So I'm extremely grateful for them and I've been a volunteer there for a year now.

My driving purpose to be on council is to get more involved in the school community that has done so much for me and make a positive impact. I want to make junior year memorable and rewarding for the Class of 2027!
